14.Defrost and water draining

The Kiruna BT version is provided with an automatic electrical defrost system while
the TN version is provided with a simple-stop system.
In both cases, defrost operations are controlled by the electronic controller.
During the defrost phase, the temperature of the displayed products will increase;
however it will not exceed the limits imposed by law. Once the defrost phase is
completed, the system will quickly return to operating temperature.

14_1.Water discharge:

The defrost water is collected in a specific drain and taken to a basin at the bottom of
the unit. In the TN version, the basin is provided with a resistance to evaporate the
water.
Periodically check that the hydraulic connections are still efficient, contacting a
qualified installer.

15.Lighting

For tank front lighting, a lamp can be installed on the handrail (optional) (Rif. 13).
For greater energy savings, the cabinet can be ordered complete with low
consumption LED lighting. This allows for:
reduced lighting consumption

reduced refrigerator load

lifespan of lights: over 6 years

uniform light intensity and colour

improved lighting as temperature decreases.


16.Anti-condensation and fog resistance

To prevent fogging due to condensation, low voltage electrical resistances are used on
the parts most subject to this, such as: front facing glass surfaces, frames and corners,
side facing glass surfaces, etc.

17.Glass doors

The unit has sliding doors of low heat-dispersion glass.
The doors in low heat-dispersion glass allow for a noticeable reduction in refrigeration
energy, ensuring improved temperature level of foodstuffs and guaranteeing
conservation quality.
In case of difficulty in opening or closing, DO NOT force them but try to find

the cause of the malfunction.
Avoid actions not envisaged for the closing and movement system.

Use the handle to slide the glass doors along the PVC rails.

DO NOT pull or slide the doors in other way -- it is a danger to the doors and
people.
Do not use the sliding doors as a resting plane for goods when loading. The

doors have not been designed to support any loads (Rif. 17).

18.Maintenance and cleaning - qualified operator -

BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY MAINTENANCE WORK OR
CLEANING, FIRST DISCONNECT THE UNIT FROM THE VOLTAGE
SUPPLY BY MEANS OF THE GENERAL SWITCH. ALWAYS WEAR
PROTECTIVE GLOVES FOR CLEANING.
Food products can deteriorate due to microbes and bacteria. Respecting hygiene
norms is essential in order to guarantee protection of consumer health, as well as
respecting the chain of refrigeration, for which the sales point is the last controllable
ring.
Cleaning operations must include:
1 - WASHING (removing grease, removal of about 97% of the dirt)
2 - DISINFECTING (using appropriate detergents on the surfaces to remove any
