Manumed RFX
Intended purpose
Manumed RFX is a brace for the wrist and forearm.
The product is exclusively to be used for the orthotic fitting
of the wrist and only on intact skin or if any wounds have
been properly covered.
Indications
• Post-operative application following distal fractures of
the forearm and radial bone
• Conservative treatment in the event of stable distal
fractures of the radial bone
• Immobilisation in the event of wrist sprains
• Tendinitis and tendovaginitis
• Immobilisation after soft-tissue injuries when movement
of the fingers is permitted
Contraindications
None known to date
Mode of action
Immobilisation and stabilisation of the wrist and the
forearm by a volar and dorsal aluminium splint.
Wearing directions
Only wearing the Manumed RFX consistently will support
the therapy.
Applying the support
The initial fitting should be supervised by a healthcare
professional.
• The aluminium splints have already been anatomically
pre-shaped. If necessary, the volar splint may be removed
and easily adapted to different hand and arm contours
(Fig. 1). The dorsal splint may be adapted directly on the
brace.
