2 Handling
2.1 Size selection of the product
The size selection of the orthosis is based on the wrist circumference.
2.2 Adapting and application of the product
1. Open the orthosis.
2. Put the wrist orthosis on a table, plastic splint side down (Fig. 1).
3. Place the wrist into the orthosis (Fig. 1).
4. Close the velcro, start with the middle tape, after that the two others
(Fig. 2). If necessary correct the middle tape.
5. Make­sure­the­orthosis­is­firmly­fitted­without­too­much­pressure.
6. If necessary, adaptation of the pre shaped plastic splint can be done
by­the­fitter­/­orthotist.­This­is­performed­by­heating­it­in­boiling­water­
and then adjustment is possible.
2.3 Instruction for use and care
Material: Outlast®, plastic splint (Polyamide), steel splints, Polyester, velcro.
Cleaning: Machine wash at 40 °C / 104 °F with a standard mild detergent.
Wash out thoroughly and let air-dry. Take out the plastic splint and close all
velcros before machine wash. We recommend using a washing bag. Note:
Residues of cleaning agents may cause skin irritations and wear of material.
To extend the products life-time: close all velcro when not using the product.
Disposal after usage: The material used in the product is recyclable and
should be disposed of accordingly.

3 Further Usage Restrictions

The product is designed for use on one patient only. Re-use of the product
is not permitted. The daily duration of use and period of application are
dependent on the medical indication.
