With the crown in the normal position (0), you can wind the watch by turning the crown
clockwise. Always wind the watch fully, to the point at which you feel a distinct resist­
ance in the crown. Your watch has a power reserve of approximately 8 days (192 hours).
If a month has fewer than 31 days, you will need to set the date manually to the first
day of the following month. Pull the crown out to position 2. You can now set the
date by turning the crown to the left (direct advance). You should not use the rapid-
advance function between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. because the movement automat-
ically advances the date during this period.
