PART C – TROUBLESHOOTING
The following table will enable a user to diagnose basic problems and implement a solution
that may enable the device to resume operation. If a probe is present and you need to
retrieve it urgently, see section B5.3.
If the problem persists, contact your Nanosonics representative
Symptom
1. There is no power to the
device
2. The screen is blank
3. The chamber door will
not open
4. The chamber door will
not close
5. The cartridge door does
not open
6. The cartridge door will
not close
7. The probe will not sit
correctly in the chamber
8. The cycle will not start
9. The device is beeping
10. Liquid is leaking from the
device

Check for the following
 The device is plugged in
 The correct power cable for the region is used
 The power is switched ON at the wall outlet
 The power switch on the device is set to ON
 There is power to the device
 Follow screen messages for instructions
 Any cycle (purge or disinfect) is complete
 Chamber door handle can be completely opened
 Follow screen messages for instructions
 The probe is validated for use in the device
 The probe Is loaded correctly
 Door lock position: if in the 'locked' position, the door
will not close. To check, try opening the handle as if
opening the chamber. If the handle cannot be turned,
the door is in the locked position – see section B5.3
 There is power to the device
 Follow screen messages for instructions
 The cycle (purge or disinfecting) is complete
 The waste container is empty and fully inserted
 Follow screen messages for instructions
 Correct cartridge type: trophon NanoNebulant
 Cartridge is correctly positioned
 Cartridge lid has been removed
 The probe is validated for use in the trophon EPR
 The probe is loaded correctly
 There is power to the device
 Follow screen messages for instructions
 The probe is loaded correctly
 The chamber door is closed
 If at the 'Clean and dry probe screen' and the YES
button will not register, contact your customer service
representative
 If the screen reads READY and the start button will not
respond, contact your customer service representative
 Follow screen message for instructions
 Probe inside the device which needs to be removed
Warning: Any fluid leaking from the device may contain
hydrogen peroxide. If liquid or mist is seen coming from the
device at any time:
 Do not come into contact with the mist or liquid
 Wear appropriate PPE
 Ensure area is well ventilated
 Allow the device to complete the cycle
 Turn off the device and remove the power cord
 Contact your customer service representative
 If the device is in sleep mode, select RESTART on the LCD
