7.3 Important notes on installation and commissioning
It is essential that you note and obey the following instructions. Otherwise, people may
be injured or the drive unit or other components may be damaged.
•
This drive unit must not have additional borings.
•
This drive unit must not be used for outside operation.
•
The drive unit must be protected against moisture penetration.
•
Before the drive unit is commissioned, you must ensure that the drive pin is protected against
contact or intervention.
•
When fixing, you must ensure that electro cylinders sit completely on the support surfaces and
that the fixing screws provided are screwed in and tightened.
•
Drive units must not be driven up to the block. Customers may connect their own limit swit-
ches to all versions. Operation without limit switches is possible but not recommended.
•
Therefore, there is a risk of mechanical damage without a limit switch query through your
controller.
•
You must not open the drive unit. Obey the safety information attached to the drive unit.
•
The user must ensure that there is no danger when the mains plug is in position.
•
When wiring the drive unit cylinder with electrical connection "b", it is essential to ensure that
a generator short circuit break is chosen as the motor wiring. Otherwise, the drive unit will
potentially move up to the block and be damaged (see section 7.4.2).
•
When designing linear adjustments, etc., take care to avoid crushing and shear points. These
are to be protected appropriately.
•
Automatic driving up of the drive unit due to a fault is to be stopped immediately by pulling
out the mains plug.
•
If a mains lead and/or feed line is damaged, the drive unit is to be taken out of service
immediately.
•
RK Rose+Krieger GmbH does not give any warranty for the customer's wiring, except for the
limit switch.
