If these measures do not resolve the problem, contact your clinician or Advanced
Bionics immediately for further assistance.
If the Neptune and/or AquaMic are accidentally exposed to sea or lake water:
1.
Rinse parts with clean water.
2.
Follow typical AquaMic post-submersion care instructions.
3.
Place Neptune processor and AquaMic in your Zephyr by Dry & Store® or similar
desiccant device and allow to dry completely.
4.
If any problem is noted following drying, contact your clinician or Advanced
Bionics for further assistance.
If moisture is noted within the Neptune battery compartment following
water use:
1.
Remove the AAA battery and wipe the Neptune battery compartment with a soft
cloth to absorb any moisture. Replace the AAA battery if any signs of rust appear
on its contacts.
2.
Place Neptune processor in your Zephyr by Dry & Store or a similar desiccant
device and allow to dry completely.
3.
Visually inspect the Battery Cover for any damage or breakage. If any problems
are noted, replace the Battery Cover prior to resuming use of your Neptune
processor in water.
4.
Visually inspect the battery seal for any tears or damage. If damage to the battery
seal is suspected, contact Advanced Bionics for replacement prior to resuming
water-related use.
5.
If the problem continues, contact your clinician or Advanced Bionics for further
assistance.
If the Neptune processor battery contacts appear to have rust forming
on them:
1.
Clean the contacts with a hearing aid brush or damp cloth or cotton swab.
2.
Visually inspect the Battery Cover for any damage or breakage. If any problems
are noted, replace the Battery Cover prior to resuming use of your Neptune
processor in water.
3.
Visually inspect the battery seal for any tears or damage. If damage to the battery
seal is suspected, contact Advanced Bionics for replacement prior to resuming
water-related use.
4.
If the problem continues, contact your clinician or Advanced Bionics for further
assistance.
