Troubleshooting Neptune Audible Alarms
Audible alarms are a programmable feature which can be used independently or in
conjunction with the Neptune LEDs to provide important information about system
status and battery life. Refer to the 'Understanding Audible Alarms' section of the
User Guide for an explanation of the expected alarm behavior(s).
If no alarm is heard:
1.
Remove the processor from beneath heavy clothing or any case or pouch in which
it may be stored.
2.
Verify that the battery is inserted properly within the processor.
3.
Check that the processor is turned "on."
4.
Replace the battery.
5.
Verify with your implant clinician whether any program changes have been made
which may affect alarm behavior.
Your processor or headpiece should be serviced only by AB. Do not attempt to
open or repair the parts. Do not continue to use the processor or headpiece if any
part of it is damaged. Unauthorized opening of the processor, headpiece, or other
equipment, will void the warranty and may compromise system performance.
