The wheel balancer performs a checking test
(all the LCD display indicators light up and the
release of the installed software is displayed).
If no anomaly is detected, a beeper sounds and
the active initial status is displayed as follows:
- active balancing mode: dynamic;
- values displayed : 000 000;
- unbalance display at 5-g (or 1/4-of-an-ounce)
increments;
- sensor value rounding-off active;
- default geometric values: width= 5.5", diameter
= 14", distance = 150.
- operator 1 active.
Now the operator can set the data of the wheel
to be balanced or select one of the programmes
available.
KEYPAD AND LCD DISPLAY
Keypad buttons (fig. 14)
• moves the cursor to the pro-
gramme menu;
• increases the displayed value.
• moves the cursor to the pro-
gramme menu;
• decreases the displayed value.
• activates the "partial" pro-
gramme MENU;
• if held down for at least 3 sec-
onds, it activates the "complete"
programme MENU;
• selects the setting change.
• exits the programme menu;
• saves the setting change.
• activates the static balancing
programme;
• activates the dynamic balancing
programme.

entry of dimensions (distance,
diameter and width).
• activates one of the seven bal-
ancing programmes for alloy
rims (ALU1P, ALU2P, ALU1, ALU2,
ALU3, ALU4, ALU5).

• not active in ALUP.
• activates the hidden weight pro-
gramme for hiding the weights
behind the spokes (the ALUP
programme must be active);
• activates the programme to
divide the weights on the spoke
side (the MOTORCYCLE pro-
gramme must be active).
• activates the MOTORCYCLE DY-
NAMIC balancing programme;
• activates the MOTORCYCLE ALU
balancing programme.
• starts the measuring cycle (with
wheel guard closed);
• searches for another side (with
RPA active and wheel guard
open).
• interrupts the measuring cycle;
• activatesthebrakefor30seconds
when the wheel is stopped;
• if held down for at least 3 sec-
onds, it locks the automatic
wheel clamping system, allowing
the hub to be dismounted
