10.1 Positioning
The room thermostat must be installed in a position which ensures
correct functioning. Generally, the most suitable installation site is
in the main living room, at a height of 1.5 m. There, the room ther-
mostat is to be exposed to the circulating room air without obstruc-
tion by furniture, curtains or other objects.
The room thermostat must be positioned so as to ensure that neither
draughts from windows or doors nor heat sources such as radia-
tors, chimney breasts, TV sets or sunlight can directly affect the
room thermostat. In the room in which the room thermostat is
installed, all radiator valves must always be fully open.
10.2 Installation sequence
We recommend that the wiring of the mounting plate is com-
pleted before fitting the front casing of the room thermostat.
To fix it, proceed as follows:
10 Installation
Take off the front casing (fig. 2 (7) page 113) of the room
thermostat using a screw driver, removing it out of the retaining
cams (8) on the mounting plate (9).
Main position or mounting plate fixing holes fig. 2 (10) or wall,
drill and plug wall using a 6 mm drill and the supplied wall plugs.
Fix the mounting plate to the wall with the two supplied
screws.
10.3 Regulations
The system may only be mounted and connected electrically by a
recognised specialist company.
The regulations of the VDE as well as of the local utility company
must be complied with.
