USER'S MANUAL. US TV EXPLORER
NOTE:
In order to obtain the video signal in the original format through the Scart
connector, the 16:9 format must be selected from the Measurements
Configuration
5.18.1 HD video (MPEG-2) software decoded
The equipment has a function that has been specially designed to decode high
definition (HD) signals, both audio and MPEG-2 video. This option has been created to
visualize i-frames of a HD MPEG-2 broadcasting, so that the user can get an idea of
how the signal is being received. The device captures a HD signal and it is decoded by
software. Soon afterwards some i-frames of HD signal are drawn on the display. Notice
that the decoded signal is not displayed in real time and the video images are updated
when the internal buffer is filled with new information. Otherwise the audio is
reproduced as it is decoded.
This image has been rescaled in order to represent it completely on the screen.
The next figure shows a HD rescaled image.
