9.1 Operating the case lifter (Basic / Comfort hand switch)

9.1.1 Turning on the case lifter

Unlock the EMERGENCY STOP control unit (turn push button) on the side of the
housing of the case lifter and on the hand switch.

Only applies to the Comfort hand switch:
Set the operating mode selector switch to "Manual (Reset)".
9.1.2 Lifting the forks
1. Press and hold the "Lift" push button until the forks have reached the desired
position.
2. Release the push button.
The lifting movement stops.
9.1.3 Lowering the forks
1. Press and hold the "Lower" push button until the forks have reached the desired
position.
2. Release the push button.
The downward movement stops.
Safety area:
The case lifter has a safety area. The safety area is marked by red cover profi les
(see page 17, F).
• The downward movement stops at a fork height of around 250 mm.
This ensures that the safety distance under the rollers of a fl oor roller does not go
below 120 mm.
• If no danger exists, you can lower the forks again by releasing the push button and
then pressing it again.
Unsecured containers on the fl oor rollers!
Containers on fl oor rollers being moved with the case lifter can roll away upon
contact with the fl oor and cause injuries.

Secure the fl oor roller against rolling away before / while placing on the fl oor.
9.1.4 Behavior in the event of malfunctions
If the forks encounter an obstacle when being lowered, the case lifter blocks.
• Press the "Lift" push button on the hand switch until the forks have been
lifted off the obstacle.
• Pull out the mains plug (switch off the voltage).
• Remove the obstacle.
• Inspect the case lifter:
