f) Consult the section on work and stock temperatures
for permissible temperature limits.
g) The lifetime of this product will be extended if it is
used with care. In particular, avoid rubbing against
abrasive surfaces and/or sharp edges.
h) The clamping action of the device and the locking
action of the latch and thus your safety may be
considerably reduced if the device or the rope is
dirty, oily, muddy or icy.
i) Avoid any contact with chemical reagents as they
may affect the performance of this product. Contact
the producer if in doubt.
j) Prolonged use in salty environments (e.g. sea
cliffs) may affect the performance of the product.
k) This ascender is not tested for safe use in
explosive atmospheres.
l) The ascender device should never be left in place
(specifically outdoors), e.g. at a workstation, because
of the weathering deterioration of the rope.
Operation of the devices
Before each use, it is essential to check carefully the
device and verify its integrity. Before each use, carry
out an operational test of the device by test loading it
with your body weight while secured by other means.
Before relying your or others' safety on the safety
system, it is essential to assess its security and
reliability. ANCHORS: their adequate resistance; the
structure they are fixed on; their correct (higher)
positioning to arrest a fall and prevent pendulum
effects. LINES: employ the right types of ropes; their
condition; their correct positioning to manage sharp
edges or points of chafing; prevent ill running of the
ascender; redundancy; to tie a stopper knot at the
end of the rope.

Open the cam by pulling the safety latch or the wire
down and out and lock it on the latching rivet. Insert
the working line and swing back the cam in the
locking position (fig.1A). Pay attention to the
