Glossary of Terms

and odor reduction.

Downflow: Direction of water flow with gravity through filtration media.
GPM: Gallons per minute.
Macrolite: Engineered ceramic filtration media.
Meter: Device to measure flow to service from POE softener or filter for DIR.
Micron: Micrometer (µm) for solid particle diameter.
Overdrive: Parallel service flow.
PPM: Parts per million.
Peak flow rate: Maximum design process flow for intermittent high demand
through POE filter or softener.
POE: Point of Entry.A system installed where water enters the home.
