Hella flashing beacons are officially approved in the ECE -
R65 validity range. They shall be set at the top of the
vehicle in a vertical position with respect to the roadbed with
the vehicle loaded to normal capacity.
Hella flashing beacons are fitted with antijamming system
and comply with VDE 0879 Standard Part 2. They have EC
approval according to EC Regulation 72/245 amended by
EC Regulation 95/54.
Flashing beacons with transparent blue cap: for entitled
users, i.e.: police, fire brigade, road assistance service,
ambulances, etc.
Flashing beacons with transparent yellow cap: for public
road service vehicles, crane trucks, extra-size vehicles, etc.
Instructions for qualified and authorised personnel or
workshop: in case of fault in high voltage area, clear
voltage before opening the light unit and then wait for 1
minute at least.
Flashing beacon, F model
Drill fixing holes and cable through hole according to the
drilling pattern shown, to this purpose the rubber shim can
be used. Disengage the fixing points by removing the seal
plugs set along the beacon circumference from the
relevant holes. The seal cannot be lost since it is coupled
to the beacon body link and its removal must not be
forced!
Electrical connection (fuse protected positive lead)
a) Fuse insert into the equipment compliant with DIN
41571
b) The wire coming from the vehicle fuse (10A) goes from
the switch, or siren switch, to the flat female connector
marked with + [positive]. Perform the (–) [negative]
connection on the beacon body with a well fixed contact
to the vehicle mass (chassis). The operation inspection
signal can be taken from the female flat connector marked
"Fkt".
