3.5.2. Commentaries on the parameters
ASP1
Threshold of alarm A1 or duration of timer. The meaning of this parameter depends on the parameters A1.md
and A1.SF :
- If A1.SF is configured as a timer ( to.on or to.oF ), then ASP1 defines the timer, in minutes.
- If A1.SF is not configured as a timer, and if A1.md is configured as an absolute alarm ( FS.hi or FS.Lo ), then ASP1
defines the alarm temperature.
- If A1.SF is not configured as a timer, and if A1.md is configured as a gap or symmetrical alarm ( FS.hi or FS.Lo ),
then ASP1 defines the width of the gap or the band.
rAmP
Ramp. This forces the process to rise (or to fall) in temperature according to a pre-determined slope. Set this
parameter to 0 to neutralise the ramp (see Ch. 3.11.1 for further information).
oFSt
Proportional band offset. When you do not want to use integral time ( ti = 0), oFSt is used to compensate for the
measurement-setpoint offset. If ti is not at 0, oFSt can not be adjusted.
ASP2
Threshold of alarm A2. The meaning of this parameter depends on the parameters A2.md and A2.SF :
- If A2.SF is not configured as a timer, and if A2.md is configured as an absolute alarm ( FS.hi or FS.Lo ), then
ASP2 defines the alarm temperature.
- If A2.SF is not configured as a timer, and if A2.md is configured as a gap or symmetrical alarm, then ASP2 defines
the width of the gap or the band.
ShiF
Display offset. This constant will be automatically added to the value measured to compensate a possible error
on the input signal

Values of P-I-D. See Ch 3.7 and 3.8 for complete description.
Ahy 1 , Ahy 2 Hysteresis of alarms A1 and A2. The value defines the dead band for the selected alarm (see Ch.3.5.3).
hYSt
Hysteresis on ON-OFF control. See Ch.3.9.
Addr
Digital address of the controller. Used with the RS 485 data transfer option on digital communication.
Lo.SC, hi.SC Low and high limits of the scale. For a thermocouple or Pt 100 Ω input, these values define the adjustment extent
of the setpoint.
Lo.SC is adjustable between the maximum of the scale for the sensor considered (see Specifications, Ch. 5) and
hi.SC .
hi.SC is adjustable between Lo.SC and the maximum of the scale for the type of sensor considered.
In the case of a linear input (voltage or current), these limits define the extent of the scale.
PL.1, PL.2
Power limitations for the hot and cold outputs . These parameters limit the percentage of control during the start
up, as well as the proportional band.
They will be used if a too rapid rise in temperature may harm the installation or the process. If this is not the case,
leave these parameters at 100%.
inPt
Selection of type of input. Must be configured as a function of the input signal (16 possible choices).
unit
Readout unit. Defines the working unit of the controller (°C or °F). For a linear input, voltage or current, select Pu
(Process unit).
rESo
Position of the decimal point. This parameter defines the position of the decimal point, of the measurement value
and setpoint.
The 2.dP position (two decimal places) can only be used with a linear voltage or current input.
Con.A
Control action for OUT1. Select rEvr (reverse) for heating. Select dirt (direct) for cooling. If the alarm A2 is
defined as second control output ( A2.SF = Cool ), control action is direct for ouput A2.

Selection of A1 alarm mode. See Ch.3.5.3 for more information.
A1.SF
Special functions for A1. Selection of manual function or security for alarm A1, see Ch. 3.5.3 for further details.
Select to.on or to.oF to configure alarm 1 as timer, see Ch. 3.11 for further details.
A2.md
Selection of A2 alarm mode. See Ch. 3.5.3 for more information.
A2.SF
Special functions for A2. Selection of manual function or security for the alarm A1, see Ch. 3.5.3 for further details.
CYC, C.CYC
Cycle time for hot and cold output controls. Selection of the value in agreement with the output equipment of
the controller. See section 3.6.2 for more information. The adjustment of the cycle time ( CYC and C.CYC )
depends on the reaction time of the process and the type of output of the controller. For a rapid response we
recommend using a static control (thyristors) to drive the load. The relay output is rather used to drive a power relay
in slow processes. If a long time is used in a rapid process, it may result in unstable behaviour.
