Checking the calibration accuracy
Operate as before to get CALi , A-d in the display.
1.
2.
Press the
key to get code A in the display, the display indicates the input value of the 0...20 mA signal, check the accuracy.
3.
Press the
key to get d in the display, now the display indicates the input value as a function of the type of input selected,
check the accuracy.
4.
Press the
and

Correction of the thermocouple input
Connect a thermocouple to inputs 13 and 14 (note the polarity) and select the right thermocouple in inPt . Power up and leave to
heat for 30 minutes. If the controller does not give the right value, the following procedure can be used to correct the error.
Operate as previously to get CALi , A-d in the display.
1.
2.
Press the
key.
3.
Press the
key again, now the prefix d appears with a value of 0.
4.
Use the
or
keys to get the right display value.
5.
Press the
key for more than 4 s to record the value. If the accuracy is unacceptable replace the controller.

4.2. ERROR MESSAGES

Symptom
Probable cause
SbEr message
- Faulty sensor
LLEr message
- Input signal below the limit, sensor fault
- Incorrect type of input
HHEr message
- Input signal above the limit, sensor fault
- Incorrect type of input
AdEr message
- Faulty Analogue/ Digital convertor
oPEr message
- poor operation of the autotune, Pb = 0
- Manual operation impossible in ON-OFF mode
CSEr message
- Checksum error, memory value having changed
ntEr message
- input error of the data in the EEPROM
ovEr message
- Overshoot error, data outside of the scale
LoCK message
- Keyboard locked
Measurement ↓
- Input connection reversed
when temperature ↑

4.3. CAUSES OF MALFUNCTION

The controller does not work as it should? Before considering returning it to the supplier, check the following points. Experience
proves in fact that many problems are not caused by the controller.
- Power supply badly connected
- No supply voltage
- Supply voltage incorrect
- Connection incomplete, screws not tightened
- Breakdown of thermocouple
- Short-circuit of thermocouple
- Terminals short-circuited
- Fault in the heating element
- Contactor open
- Blown fuses, etc.
keys, then release rapidly, the display indicates the value of the Pt 100 DIN input signal, check the
keys, then release rapidly, the display indicates the value 0...10 V input, check the accuracy.
Solution
- Replace the sensor
- Use manual mode
- Replace the sensor
- Correct the type of input
- Replace the sensor
- Correct the type of input
- Replace the module, check the cause of
the problem
- Repeat the procedure with a wider band
- Check and reconfigure the instrument
- Change the EEPROM
- Check if a noise is getting in
- Unlock, see chapter 3.13
- Check and reconnect
