4. Installation requirements

4.1 Ambient conditions

The product may be damaged if it is installed under the wrong ambient condi-
tions
Do not install the product in the following environments:
• on external doors
• in damp environments
• in the vicinity of electromagnetically sensitive devices
• do not install in potentially explosive environments.

The product can be damaged by condensed water on cold components!
• Before installation, please ensure that all product components are at the ambient
temperature!
• Store products at the installation site for an appropriate period prior to installation.
The environmental conditions in the place of installation – for example, magnetic fields
or metal materials – may impair the functionality of the system.
• Ensure that the product is installed in a suitable location.
• Set up a sample installation in the chosen location and test it out prior to carrying
out the final installation.

4.2 Installation conditions

• Possible door thicknesses: 35 - 95 mm.
• Possible door materials: wood and wood material.
• Metal only after prior consultation with Häfele.
• The mortice must be present and must comply with the
dimensioned drawing in the installation instructions.

DT 700c / DT 710c
• Note:
A minimum dimension of 112 mm is recommended for the
mortice.
• With careful cable laying and careful insertion of the mortice lock,
installation is also possible in a smaller mortice than specified in
the installation instructions (
• Do not trap or squeeze cables.
• The single profile cylinder for emergency opening is not included
in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately.
• The size of the single profile cylinder depends on the door
thickness.
