3) Check the fit of the tube frames on the patient and make any necessary adjustments by bend­
ing the tube frame or replacing the lower tube frame. The replacement size may only be one
size smaller or bigger (reference number 29R394=S/M/L/XL/XXL).
4) Determine the number of abdominal strap segments required (see fig. 9). Pay attention to the
minimum and maximum overlapping of the strap end elements (see fig. 10).
5) Remove unnecessary abdominal strap segments by pulling out the connecting rods (see
fig. 11).
6) Reconnect the abdominal strap segments that are being used with a connecting rod.
7) Apply the frame of the brace to the back.
8) If necessary, adjust the angle of the abdominal strap at the spring elements after loosening
the screws and removing the covers (see fig. 12).
9) Pull evenly on the two abdominal strap closures towards the front (see fig. 13).
10) Close the abdominal strap (see fig. 14).
11) Attach the hook-and-loop closures for the tension belts to the waist belt and determine the
optimal length of the tension belts (see fig. 15).
NOTICE! Make sure that the angle of the springs does not exceed 20° when the ten­
sion belts are taut.
12) Shorten the length of the tension belts with scissors (see fig. 16).
5.3 Application
CAUTION
Direct skin contact with the product

Risk of local pressure and constriction of blood vessels and nerves due to improper or exces­
sively tight application
Ensure that the brace is applied properly and fits correctly.

Use of a worn or damaged product
Limited effectiveness
Before each use, check the product for functional reliability and for possible wear or dam­
age.
Do not continue using a product that is no longer functional, or that is worn or damaged.
1) Place the brace frame in such a way that the sacral pad comes to be positioned on the
sacrum, and the two shoulder pads below the shoulder blades (see fig. 5).
2) Evenly pull the two abdominal strap closures to the front and close them (see fig. 17).
3) Evenly tighten the tension belts and attach them to the positions identified during the fitting by
means of hook-and-loop closures (see fig. 18).
5.4 Cleaning
