The Lyon's rope blocks are delivered unassembled
This device is a non-opening block: the rope/wire-rope is installed by pulling
one of its ends between bearing flanges.
To finish the assembly, fix the end of the cords in a secure way (with a
shackle for instance) at the becket of the upper hook.
The block with the becket has to be placed on the anchorage point and the
other block takes the load.
Before each use:
·
Ensure safety latch of block's hook is locked,
·
Ensure not to exceed the block's WLL
·
Control the rope / wire-rope ; its capacity, size, condition and length
·
Ensure to align freely the load and the anchoring point of the device
·
Ensure the block, especially the sheave, is not soiled with products which can produce sliding of the
rope,
·
Ensure anchorage location of the device accepts WLL on suspension of the block,
·
Control good functioning of the block: sheave rotation and locking of the safety latch,
The operator is not authorised to release the rope/wire-rope or leave equipments without supervising when a
load is suspended on a block.
