In addition, be aware that the safety devices such as the "eye protection cover" and "finger
guard" are sometimes omitted in the sketches, illustrations and fi gures included in the Instruction
Manual for the explanation's sake. In the practical use, never remove those safety devices.
CAUTION BEFORE OPERATION
WARNING :
To avoid malfunction and damage of the machine, confi rm the following.
• Be sure to fi ll the oil hole with oil before use.
• Clean the sewing machine thoroughly before using it for the fi rst time.
• Remove all dust collected on the sewing machine during the transportation.
• Confi rm that the voltage and phase are correct.
• Confi rm that the power plug is properly connected.
• Never use the sewing machine in the state where the voltage type is different from the
designated one.
• The direction of rotation of the sewing machine is counterclockwise as observed from the
handwheel side. Be careful not to rotate it in reverse direction.
• When operating the sewing machine, turn ON the power switch after properly setting the head
on the table.
• For the fi rst month after set-up, use the machine at a reduced sewing speed of 4,000 sti/min or less.
• Operate the handwheel after the sewing machine has totally stopped.
• Do not tilt the machine head toward this side since oil leakage or parts breakage occurs.
• Before starting a test run, remove the bobbin case and the needle thread from the machine.
