4.1 Intended use
This controller may only be used when it has been connected to an appropriate drive from RK Ro-
se+Krieger.
Intended use of the controller includes electromotive adjustment of moving furniture compon-
ents or comparable items.
Generally, use must be restricted to dry rooms and it should not be used outdoors.
4.2 Improper use
"Improper use" is when the information quoted in the section 4.1 Intended use is not being ob-
served.
The improper use, incorrect handling and operation of this controller can cause danger to persons
and property.
In event of improper use of this controller, RK Rose+Krieger GmbH is no longer liable and its ge-
neral operating licence will expire.
4.2.1 Reasonably foreseeable misuse

Controlling unsuitable drives
•
Overloading appropriate drives
•
Exceeding the duty cycle of the controller or drives
•
Operation with damage to the mains supply, housing, motor lead, hand switch or other con-
trol lines (PLC, PC, etc.)
•
Operation with the controller housing open
•
Use outdoors
•
Use in an environment with high air humidity > dew point
•
Use in an atmosphere containing solvents
•
Contact with paints containing solvents
•
Use in an environment in which it can be expected that combustible and explosive gases or
vapours might be present
•
Failure to comply with the rated voltage as given on the maker's plate on the controller with
a maximum tolerance of +/- 10 %
•
Failure to comply with the upper and lower ambient temperatures: +40 °C/+5 °C
•
Continuous actuation of the relays, e.g. using a PLC after reaching the end position
•
Opening the appliance
•
Use in applications that are cleaned in a tunnel washing facility.
•
Effect of mechanical forces on the controller
•
Risks arising if the mains plug is pulled out.
•
Risks arising due to the limit switch failing
4.3 Who is authorised to use this controller
Anyone who has read and understood the assembly instructions may use the controller. Respon-
sibilities in use must be clearly defined and observed.
The controller should not be used by small children or weak persons unless supervised.
