5. MAINTENANCE

Do not use the HTFLEX3003 transducer if is or seems damaged.
1. Make sure the current probe and the output cables are clean before installing them
around the conductors. If the transducers and cables are not clean, the contaminants
on them may provide a conductive path for a high-voltage breakdown.
2. Check the transducer and output cables for cuts and abrasions.
3. The transducer should not be used if damaged.
5.1.

Replacing batteries

• Never replace batteries with flexible measuring head installed on conductor
to be tested or output connected to a display device.
• Never operate the unit without the battery cover fitted.
The batteries must be replaced when the LED flashes. Ensure that the HTFLEX3003 is
away from any current carrying conductor and the output is disconnected from any other
equipment. Following the herewith steps:
1. Turn the battery lock ¼ turn until it aligns with the unlock symbol.
2. Remove battery cover.
3. Replace the batteries ensuring the correct polarity is observed. Restore battery cover
and turn the battery lock until it aligns with the lock symbol.
4. Turn ON the adaptor moving selector in any position and verify an instantaneous
blinking for a correct use of the unit.
5.2.

Cleaning

To clean the instrument, use a soft dry cloth. Never use a wet cloth, solvents or water, etc.
5.3.

End of life

CAUTION: this symbol indicates that equipment and its accessories shall be
subject to a separate collection and correct disposal.
