Electrical connections
➤
Determine the activation time of the central locking system.
The activation time for MagicTouch was set to 0.6 s at the factory.
In some vehicles, for example Mercedes, an activation time of 0.6 s might not
be sufficient to completely activate the central locking system. In such cases
you will need to set the activation time with the DIP switch 1 (fig. 4, page 4) to
"OFF" (activation time: 3,5 s).
➤
Determine whether you would like to set up the automatic re-locking function:
The connection to the door contact for the automatic re-locking option is suita-
ble for door contacts with negative charge as well as for vehicles with door con-
tacts charged with +12 V.
– Door contacts with negative charge: Connect the yellow cable to the circuit
cable.
If you do not want this function, connect the yellow cable to earth.
– Door contacts with positive charge (+12 V): Connect the green cable to
the circuit cable.
If you do not want this function, do not connect the green cable, but insulate
it instead.
Caution!
e
Never connect both cables (green and yellow).
Insulate all cables that are not required.

Connect MagicTouch in accordance with the appropriate circuit diagram:

Control unit for the vehicle's own central locking system
2
Control switch (driver's door) for the original central locking sys-
tem, central locking closed
3
Control switch (driver's door) for the original central locking sys-
tem, central locking open
Vehicles without a servo motor in the driver's door (driver's door cannot be
locked and unlocked from the passenger's door) or with pressure vacuum cen-
tral locking without electrical control cables: fig. f, page 10
In these cases you require an additional servo motor, WAECO type no. ML-11
for the driver's door.
Two cables from negative to +12 V: fig. g, page 11
Two +12 V pulse control cables: fig. h, page 12
Two negative pulse control cables: fig. i, page 13
One open and negative pulse control cable: fig. j, page 14
