2. ELECTRIC INSTALLATION

For installing the DBW module, follow the guidelines bellow:
Step 1 With the frequency inverter not energized, remove the CFW-09 frontal cover;
Step 2 Remove the DBW braking module frontal cover;
Step 3 Supply the fan of the braking module with the suitable supply voltage
(110 V or 20 V) through terminals 1 and 2 of connector X7 2
has a requires a current of about 0.14A;
Step 4 Connect the +UD grounding of the braking module to the +UD terminal of
the inverter, according to figure 8;
Step 5 Connect the -UD grounding of the braking module to the -UD terminal of the
inverter, according to figure 8;
Step 6 Connect the interconnection cable to connector XC3
of the braking module
fastened to the metallic support in the side of the CFW-09 control board, see figure 8;
Step 7 Connect the braking resistor and the thermal relay in series, between terminals
+UD and BR
Step 8 The terminals 3 and 4 of the terminal block X7 are the NC-contact of a thermostat
that must be installed for the thermal protection of the braking module. This
protection must be installed external to the braking module (see Figure 7); in this
example, the relay is connected to DI3 (terminal 3 and 9 of connector XC1 in the
CC9 board) and the parameter P265 is programmed as Without External Error
(P265=4).
