Safety sensor
The ceiling-mounted version of Perseus is fitted
with a safety sensor.
The safety sensor is triggered by resistance from
below, e.g., by obstacles such as objects or
persons. When the safety sensor is triggered,
lowering of the ceiling supply unit is stopped.

Fault
Lift system does not react
when actuated.
Lift system does not
respond to operation of the
Down Arrow key.
Maintenance
The following test step applies only to the
ceiling-mounted version of Perseus:
Check the function of the safety sensor.
Cause
Incorrect setting position of the
keyswitch.
Docked medical device and
position of the keyswitch do not
correspond.
Perseus safety sensor triggered.
After every docking of Perseus by service
personnel and within the framework of every
service or repair of the ceiling supply unit. Initially
5 years after operating the device for the first time,
then annually.
Supplement to the instructions for use
Remedy
Contact service personnel.
Remove obstacle and operate Up
Arrow key.
