CPR

In emergencies, opening the CPR valve (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) quickly
deflates the mattress, providing a hard surface for external heart massages.
Never allow a non-qualified person to operate this function and check that no
obstacles (e.g., limbs, accessories, objects, power cords) or persons are under the head
section.

The CPR valve is at the foot end of the mattress. It can be easily identified by its
yellow plug and the symbol on the mattress cover.
CPR valve
1. If necessary, lower the siderails and the head section of the bed, or place
the bed frame in the CPR position before using the emergency CPR
function (refer to the instructions of the bed manufacturer).
2. Place a CPR board under the patient, or follow the protocol of the CPR
function.
3. To activate the CPR, turn the yellow CPR valve
clockwise as shown by the arrow (see opposite).
Activating the CPR quickly deflates the mattress.

The yellow visual alarm signal
the state of low pressure, and the audible alarm signal is
activated.

Cancel the CPR

1. Turn the CPR valve anticlockwise to its original
position.
The device reverts to therapy mode.
2. If necessary, place the bed frame in the appropriate
position (refer to the instructions for the bed frame).
