5. Electrical installation
Before unplugging/disconnecting the signal line, please always disconnect the voltage supply.
When connecting the Ants LES01, the corresponding operating instructions must be observed. All li-
nes and trailing cables must be manufactured with dual insulation or mechanically protected according
to EN81-20 5.10.6.
5.1 EMC notes
• With bus lines, only use shielded and twisted pair lines for the Position Supervisor Unit.
• To prevent earth loops, the shield is only connected at one location (PSU01 is already earthed
through PELV) to the potential (protective earth).
• Make sure that the line shields are corrected fastened.
• Make sure that the lines are properly routed when wiring your system.
• Route the signal and data lines as close to the earth surfaces as possible (frame members, metallic
rails, cabinet covers) and not parallel to the motor and the power supply line.
• Connect all operating equipment ensuring low-impedance to the earth/protective conductor system.
5.2 General instructions
5.2.1 Applicable safety standards
• Prior to commissioning, all the necessary cable cores must be connected according to the data
sheet. The Ants LES01 is already pre-assembled and must only be plugged in at port X2.
perly insulate all unnecessary ends of the output signals to prevent short circuits.
• Take into consideration the correct operating voltage and the maximum permissible output current
(see data sheet).
• Use a supply voltage source according to PELV.
5.2.2 CE conformity
To achieve CE conformity, the installation must be carried out in an EMC-compliant manner:Use conti-
nuously shielded cables for control lines.
• Use continuously shielded cables for control lines.
• The bus lines (port X2, X3, X4) must be routed separately from lines with a high interference level.
• The safety circuit must be routed according to the standard as free as possible of capacitively
coupled interference, separately from lines with a high interference level.
The operating personnel must ensure that the device is not damaged
by an electrostatic charge / discharge during installation / replacement.
A direct contact with the board / electronic components should be avoi-
ded or suitable protective measures should be taken.
Disconnect the wiring in the ling groups, motor/power supply lines
and signal/data/safety circuit lines.
