ROOF VENT WITH STEEL CHIMNEY FLUE
In installation of the chimney flue, always guar-
antee an inspection door to enable periodic
cleaning of soot and a condensate collector
with drainage to evacuate any condensate.
If the smoke pipe is installed completely exter-
nally, you should make it fully in stainless steel
with a double wall to guarantee better resist-
ance to atmospheric agents and adequate
temperature of the smoke vent.
ROOF VENT WITH TRADITIONAL CHIMNEY
FLUE
Combustion gas can also be evacuated using
an existing, traditional chimney flue provided it
is built to standard.
It must comply with the following regulations:
• it must be equipped with adequate insulation
in the exposed external section;
• the internal section must be constant;
• it must be created using material resistant to
high temperatures, the action of combustion
products and any condensate that could form;
• it must have a soot and condensate collection
chamber which can be inspected via a door.
• the smoke channel (section of piping that con-
nects the boiler to the chimney flue) can have:
- maximum 3 bends
- maximum 2 metres horizontally
