Observe hoist trolley operation. Trolley should move with the
wheel flanges as close as possible to edge of the beam. If it
appears trolley side plates could be moved closer together
and freedom of movement will not be restricted, remove
trolley from beam. Remove washers from each side of the
hanger shaft or bolt to give 1/16 to 1/8 in (1.6 to 3.2 mm)
clearance between each side of the beam flange and wheel
flanges. Be sure to place the removed washers equally
between the side plates and locknuts. Reinstall trolley.
10. Make certain that the capacity of the hoist does not exceed
the rated capacity of the trolley.
11. Verify beam/rail stops are securely installed.
12. Upon completion of installation, conduct initial operating
checks as described in the "OPERATION" section.
Installation On Curved Beam
1.
Trolleys can be used with radii as small as those indicated in
the Specifications Chart. An increase in the wheel flange
spacing may be required when the hoist trolley is used on
curved beam applications. The radius of your curve will
determine the amount of increase. If additional washers have
to be added, be certain installation instructions and cautions
are followed.
2.
Trolley assembly can be mounted on either Structural I-Beam
(S-Beam) or Wide Flange Beam (H-Beam).
