INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING AND MAINTAINING THE
SAUNA:
When lighting for the fi rst time:
30
The stones are stacked in the special compartment under the
20'
20'
grill amongst the electric elements.
The stones should have a diameter of 4-8 cm. (Only use the
stones supplied.)
Before inserting the stones, it is advisable to wash away any
dust from them. The stones must not be too close to each
other so that air can circulate between the resistive elements.
The stones should be stacked without pressure and they
30
should not be wedged between the heater elements.
The stones should cover the resistive elements completely.
Over time the stones tend to crumble. Therefore they need to
be rearranged at least once a year, or more often, if the sauna
is used frequently.
The guarantee does not cover damage caused by stones not
20'
recommended by the fi rm, or damage caused by crumbling
stones or stones that are too small and prevent proper
ventilation.
It is extremely important that no object or appliance is placed
inside the space in the heater intended for the stones, or near
the heater since an impeded air fl ow could cause an excessive
increase in the resistance temperature with a resulting
danger of fi re!
TO USE THE SAUNA CORRECTLY:
The optimum temperature for the sauna is 75 - 80°.
The humidity is regulated by throwing small amounts of
water on the very hot stones. The excess water does not
evaporate and is collected in a special basin. Always use clean
water. Water rich in humus and chlorine or sea water must not
be used. Special perfumes produced specifi cally for sauna
water may be used.
A sauna should not last longer than 20 minutes. We
recommend you start with shorter times. It is advisable not to
go in with an empty stomach (a light snack of fruit or yoghurt
is good). After the sauna, it is advisable to take a cool then a
cold shower to bring your body temperature back to normal.
Fluids lost through sweating will also be recovered. (Avoid
sugary drinks, stimulants and, especially, alcohol).
WHEN NOT TO USE THE SAUNA:
• If your blood pressure is too high or too low.
• If you have heart or circulation problems.
• If you have a fever.
• If your skin is infl amed.
