CONNECTION TO THE CHIMNEY

The dimensioning of the chimney should be carried out
in accordance with EN 13384-1.
It is recommended to perform the fitting for the outlet
of the fumes, between the ECOMONOBLOCCO
WT 78 and the chimney, using metal curves and
pipes of adequate thickness, taking care not to
exceed the inclination of 45° (see Fig. 6.8:- A-curve,
B-insulation, C-spacer pipe), where the chimney is not
perpendicular to the fireplace. Once the connection
has been done, the metal tubes of the outgoing fumes
should be insulated with insulating material covered
with external aluminium foil.
• Do not use glass wool or insulating material with
paper support: they could ignite.
• All components of the chimney system must be
declared suitable to the specific operating conditions
and provided with CE marking.

EXTERNAL COMBUSTIVE AIR INTAKE
It is essential to connect the inlet of the combustion
air to the air intake tube supplied in order to avoid
that the monobloc sucks air from below the fire
compartment (Fig. 6.9A - Fig. 6.9B).
Solutions for connecting the tube and relative
clips supplied:
1)
an external air intake (C) obtained on the wall;
the air intake must be protected by an insect
grid (G) and must be placed in such a way as
not to be accidentally obstructed. It must be
made in such a way that the useful passage
surface ensures the supply of the right amount
of oxygen to the furnace; the minimum section
for the air passage must be not less than 842
cm2 (Fig. 6.9A).
2) an external air intake outside the cladding (F)
using the grids supplied for supplying air to the
fan VENT; the air intake must be positioned
in such a way as not to be accidentally
obstructed. It must be made in such a way
that the useful passage surface ensures
the supply of the right amount of oxygen to
the furnace; the minimum section for the air
passage must be not less than 842 cm2 (Fig.
6.9B).
It is forbidden to take combustion air from garages,
warehouses of combustible material or premises
that are subjects to risk of fire.
In the case in the room where is located the fireplace
there are one or more extraction fans operating (suction
hoods) malfunctions to the combustion may occur caused
by a shortage of combustion air.
6.10 HEAT VENT
The appropriate grids supplied must be installed in the
high part of the hood (T).
In the event that the grids supplied are not used,
provide a minimum section of heat vent of 1263
cm2.
