3.5 Attach accessories
By default the rams have grip heads on both sides. These grip heads can be removed and replaced by
accessories.
NOTICE
The grip heads cannot be removed from models TR 5350 and TR 5370.
For model TR 5340 the grip heads can only be removed from the fixed side.
The connection system used to attach the grip heads and accessories on the rams depends on the
model. For the 10 ton rams, a spring ring is used for locking, while for the 15 and 22 ton rams a steel
ball and cam locking system is used.
The pulling shoes can only be attached to a 15 ton ram and are hooked and locked with a ring.
The table shows the rams and connection systems used.

3.5.1 Spring ring connection system
Refer to Fig. 10.
Attach
• Push the accessory firmly on to the ram until the spring ring (2) clicks in the groove (3).
Remove
• Pull accessory (4) forcefully off the ram (1)
3.5.2 Cam and steel ball connection system
Refer to Fig. 11.
The steel ball (C) in the groove (E) and the cam (A) hold the accessory in place.
