TWINE WRAPPING
The best twine wrapping features are obtained by
programming a wrapping pitch from 13 to 18 cm, to
offer a good resistance during handling and against
weather agents.
When the bale is made, the sound signal operates:
move forward a few meters for an easier twine throw-
ing, then stop the tractor.
During the wrapping cycle, the round baler speed
must be decreased to 250/350 rpm; this procedure is
advisable in particular in case of brittle crops.
At the wrapping end, always open the tailgate fully to
eject and move away the bale.
When an error occurs for whatever reason, check for
its cause and remedy.
Make sure the twine--boxes have twine enough and
check their correct routing, then operate a new wrap-
ping cycle by the emergency key, re. 1, fig. 7.
If the twines do not engage correctly or if a bale is to
be tied before being completed, an emergency wrap-
ping can be operated by the key, re. 1, fig. 7.
As an alternative to the automatic wrapping, a ma-
nual wrapping can be made; it is advisable to make
it only in case of failures.
Twine distance from the bale edge
The twine distance from the bale edge can be adju-
sted moving the pin, re. 1 fig. 34, in one of the three
positions available on both sides.
The standard setting envisages the pin fitting in cen-
tral position.
NET WRAPPING (only with net wrapper kit
fitted)
Carry out the same procedure described for the twine
wrapping, selecting the net wrapping in this case.
When an error occurs for whatever reason, check for
its cause and remedy.
When the bale is made, the sound signal operates:
move forward a few meters for an easier twine throw-
ing, then stop the tractor.
If the net isn't inserted correctly, make sure there is
net enough and that it has been fitted correctly, then
operate a new wrapping cycle by the emergency key,
re. 1, fig. 7.
In this case as well, as an alternative to the automatic
wrapping, a manual wrapping can be made; it is advi-
sable to make it only in case of failures.
NET WINDING REVOLUTION SELECTION - -
FIG. 11
Refer to fig. 11 to select the number of revolutions to
wrap the bale.
Select the table corresponding to bale diameter
"120" for FB 212 and FB 212 L model round balers
and bale diameter "150" for FB 215 L model round
balers.
To get a good resistance to handling, the bales must
be wrapped with at least 3 revolutions of net.
ATTENTION: stop the PTO while getting off
the tractor.
Bale ejection
DANGER: before opening the tailgate, make
sure there are no people on the machine rear
part or nearby.
Pay attention to the possible interference of the tail-
gate with electrical cables or others.
At the wrapping end, open the tailgate by the tractor
hydraulic control valve.
DANGER: while ejecting a bale, consider the
ground sloping. Do not eject or pile up bales on
sloped grounds (hillsides). If the bale rolls
along the hill, do not try and stop it. Always leave the
machine switched on during the bale ejection.
