Using one supplied lifting strap and a forklift, raise telescoping mast and boom.

Remove column pin.
Wrap one of the supplied lifting straps
around the mast, below the boom, cross-
ing over the two looped ends. Then insert
forklift forks into lifting strap loops to pre-
pare to raise the mast.
Note: The boom must be oriented be-
tween forks and directly away from the
forklift.
Raise mast just until bottom of mast clears
column pin hole (see Fig. 13c).
Reinsert pin and retaining clip. Lower
forks until mast sets on pin.
Mast will rest on top of pin and rotate
freely when properly installed.
Remove forks from lifting straps by slowing
backing up the forklift.
Note: If loops bind to forks, a second
person should use a long pole to help slide
the loops off the ends of the forks while the
forklift operator backs up the forklift.
Once released from the forks, the lifting
strap will fall freely from the mast.
Caution: Never leave a lifting strap
attached to this device as a user must
never attach a fall arrest system to a
lifting strap.
