FITTING INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Attention: If necessary, the number plate bracket indicated in fig. 1
should be removed from the chassis cross member. The bracket is only
fitted on models manufactured in Korea.
Remove all attachments from the towbar. In order to make fitting easier,
we recommend that the rear wheels are removed. Cut out the drill tem-
plate (template right side) and place this such that the "existing hole"
mark fits over the existing hole in the chassis. The top edge of the tem-
plate should correspond to top edge of the chassis.
2. Mark hole A on the chassis. Remove the template and turn it over so the
white side faces you. You now have the drill template left. Fit the drill
template on the left and mark hole A on the chassis. Drill the holes A (on
the left and right) ¢ 13 mm throughout. Place the fastening plates B and
C on the inside of the left and right chassis members. Attach two
M12x90 bolts with spring washers, back plates (40x5 L=40mm) and
nuts at points A.
3. Fit plate E to the towbar cross member using two M12x90 bolts with
double flat washers, spring washers and nuts, and fasten finger-tight.
For vehicles with a shallow cross beam (as shown in fig.1). Place the
towbar under the vehicle between the towbar and cross beam with
spacer strips D and spacers M (¢19x13 L=30mm). For vehicles with a
deep cross beam (as shown in fig. 2), assemble according to instruc-
tions above, but without spacers M. Attach the towbar to the fastening
plates B and C using four M12x35 bolts with spring washers and nuts,
as shown in the sketch. Clamp the fastening plate E to the ¢ tube under-
neath the vehicle using mole grips. Drill the ¢ 13 mm holes G through

the ¢ tube. Drill holes H through the left and right chassis members.
Remove the towbar and detach fastening plates B and C. Enlarge holes
A and H to ¢ 19 mm (on the outside of the left and right chassis mem-
bers only). Enlarge holes G to ¢ 19 mm throughout.
4. Pass the M12x90 bolts with back plates (40x5 L=40mm) and spacers
(¢19x13 L=53mm) through the left and right members at points A and H
from the outside to the inside. Place the fastening plates B and C on the
inside of the right and left chassis members and fasten them using six
M12 nuts with spring washers at points A and H.
Pass the two M12x110 bolts through the spacers of back plates I. Attach
back plates I to the cross bar under the vehicle, sliding the spacers into
the cross bars through the ¢19mm holes so that the threads poke out
from underneath. For vehicles with a deep cross beam (fig.3) carry out
assembly as described above at points G. Should the cross beam have
a shallow bend (fig.2), then two M12x130 bolts must be attached inclu-
ding spacers M (¢19x13 L=30mm) between panel E and back plates D.
See sketch. Attach the towbar including filler strips D between the tow-
bar and cross beam.
Fasten the towbar to the fastening plates B and C using four M12x35
bolts with nuts and spring washers, as shown in the sketch. Attach two
M12 nuts with spring washers and nuts at points G.
5. The ball post is fitted to the towbar using one bolt M12x65/21.2 and one
bolt M12x70/26.2 with socket plate, flat washers and selflocking nuts.
Replace the items removed under step 1. Tighten all nuts and bolts to
the values shown in the table.
