1. INTRODUCTION
Your PETROL CHAIN SAW FOR TREE SERV-
ICE CS 25 has been manufactured in compli-
ance with current safety standards to protect the
user.
This manual contains safety, installation, opera-
tion and maintenance instructions, required to
make sure that your CHAIN SAW is used effi-
ciently at all times.
EXPLANATORY PICTURES
The pictures relating to the installation and de-
scription of the chain saw can be found at the
beginning of this booklet.
Refer to these pages when reading installation
and operating instructions.
Should your CHAIN SAW require servicing or
repairs, please contact your retailer or an au-
thorised service centre.
2. MAIN SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
GENERAL SAFETY RULES
CAUTION: This chain saw
must only be used by
people
trained in tree servicing.
Petrol chain saws for tree service are fitted
with a handle located on the top section
and are specifically designed for users who
have been trained in working from tree tops
to carry out pruning and limbing opera-
tions.
Therefore, the petrol chain saw should not
be used to cut or prepare wood for burn-
ing. These operations should be carried out

using a conventional petrol chain saw with
a back handle.

and familiarise yourself with its cor-

A3 – Do not allow the CHAIN SAW
to be used by people who are not
fully familiar with these instructions.
Using the petrol chain saw is forbid-
den to minors, with the exceptions of
young people over 16 years of age
specifically trained in tree servicing.
A3.1 – When using this petrol chain
saw, please follow the safety rules in
force in the country it is being used
in. Follow the instructions supplied by
health and safety regulators.
A4 – Make sure the chain brake
has been applied before starting
the chain saw.
A5 – Do not start and use the petrol
chain saw near people (especially
children) and animals.
When using the chain saw, make
sure the chain saw is used at least
10m away from other people.
A6 – Special attention should be
paid to possible dangers which may
not be heard due to the noise pro-
duced by the machine.
