7. Startup
WARNING
1. This icemaker is designed to produce edible
ice. To keep the icemaker sanitary:
• Wash your hands before removing ice.
• Use the plastic scoop provided
(accessory).
• Keep the scoop clean. Clean it by using a
neutral cleaner and rinsing thoroughly.
• The storage bin is for ice use only.
Do not store anything else in the bin.
• Close the door after removing ice to
prevent entrance of dirt, dust or insects
into the storage bin.
2. The use of any electrical equipment
involves the observance of some
fundamental rules. In particular:
• Instances of high humidity and moisture
increase the risk of electrical short
circuits and potential electrical shocks.
If in doubt, disconnect the icemaker.
• Do not use the icemaker when you have
bare feet.
• Do not pull the power cord in order to
disconnect the icemaker from the feed
network.
• This appliance is not suitable for
unsupervised use by young children or
aged or infirm persons.
3. All parts are factory-adjusted. Improper
adjustments may result in failure.
4. If the unit is turned off, wait for at least
3 minutes before restarting the icemaker to
prevent damage to the compressor.
5. Do not operate the unit with the control
switch in the "PUMP" position without
water in the water tank. This will cause
damage to the water pump seal.
1) Open the water supply line shut-off valve.
2) Remove the front panel and base cover.
See Fig. 4. If using in a dispenser application
or if a change to the ice level in an ice storage
bin application is desired, see "8. Bin Control
Adjustment." Otherwise, continue to step 3.

3) Move the mode switch on the control box to the
"ICE" position, then move the control switch to the
"ON" position.Turn on the power supply, and allow
the icemaker to operate.
4) As water begins to fill the water tank (1-min. fill),
place an object 5" to 7" (127 to 178 mm) away from
the bin control lens. See Fig. 5. 15 sec. later, the
icemaker shuts down. Remove the object from the
bin control lens. 30 sec. later, the icemaker restarts.

5) Once the icemaker restarts, move the control
switch to the "OFF" position, then turn off the power
supply.
6) Replace the base cover in its correct position.
7) Move the control switch to the "ON" position.
Replace the front panel in its correct position, then
turn on the power supply.
8) Allow the icemaker to operate for 10 min.
9) After 10 min., turn off the power supply, then
remove the front panel.
10) Move the control switch to the "OFF" position, then
remove the base cover and disconnect one end of
the pump tubing to drain the water tank. See Fig. 6.
11) After the water tank has drained, reconnect the
pump tubing.
