6 Description and function

6. 1 Description of the equipment

Wilo-Control DigiCon
The DigiCon interface converter converts
the PLR interface (point-to-point inter-
face) into an RS 485 serial digital interface
with bus capability. The software protocol
is PLR. The protocol is described in detail
on the attached CD and needs to be imple-
mented accordingly.
Pumps that can be connected:
• 4 pumps (single or double)

NOTE:
• Double pumps must always be equipped with integrated dual pump
management.
• In the case of double pumps, the PLR interface of the master is connected to the
interface converter.
• If integrated dual pump management is not used for double pumps, both drives
must be treated as two separate single pumps.
• Control functions relate to the double pump as a complete unit.

Wilo-Control DigiCon-A
The DigiCon-A manual operation level
allows the higher-ranking control of pumps
that are connected to DigiCon interface
converters. Control commands on the bus
to the pump can be overwritten by:
• Inputs for potential-free control contacts
• Analogue control input 0...10 V
Fault and operating signals from the pump
are converted as:
• Potential-free signal contacts and signal
lamps
Pumps that can be activated:
• 2 pumps (single or double)
