TOP HUNG WINDOWS
To install a C240 actuator on top-hinged windows,
proceed as follows:
Open the package (par. 3.6) and take all the parts out;
- Fig.9 – Mark the midline "Y" on the window with a pencil.
Measure the distance "X" between the two chain
terminals of the C240 and mark it on the window,
symmetrically to the midline "Y" marked previously;
- Fig.10 – Position the snap fasteners on the wing 2 mm
above the frame (see Fig.8), with the snap unfastener
indicator (Ref.1) to the right of the midline marking. Align
the fastener with the respective line, taking as reference
the rib at the center of the fastener, and mark the drilling
points.
- Fig.11 – Using a suitable drill, make 2 holes of
appropriate size in the wing and fasten the snap fastener
with screws type AF d4.2x19;
- Fig. 12 – Position the two brackets for the top-hinged
assembly on the frame, spaced 80mm on either side of
the midline and using the measurements listed in Fig. 8.
For each bracket, mark the 4 drilling points with a pencil;
- Fig. 13 ÷ 14 – Using a suitable drill, make 8 holes of
appropriate size on the frame and fasten the brackets
using the screws type AF d4.8x16. Now assemble the
covering placket on each bracket;
- Fig. 15 – Insert the two pairs of clamps for the top-
hinged applications, fitting them in the actuator slider
adjacent to the chain terminal, then close them partially
with the screw and nut in the package;
- Fig.16 – Position the clamps 80mm on either side of the
chain terminal midline and tighten the screw all the way;
- Fig. 17 – Make the electrical connections as described
in para.5.6 and with reference to the wiring diagram
shown in Fig.43 for C240/230V, or Fig.44 for C240/23V.
Use the command to let the chain run out by at least
50mm and disconnect the power cord;
- Fig.18 – First fasten the chain terminal to the snap
fastener, then fasten the clamps to the brackets for
connection to the window.
Make sure the brackets for connection to the window
are correctly fastened to their clamps.
The number of clamps necessary for assembly will
depend on the length of the actuator: up to 3 meters only
2 clamps are needed, over 3 meters add a third at the
center of the actuator.
Connect the power cord again.
For correct adjustment of the window closure, see the
instructions in para.5.5.

BOTTOM-HINGED WINDOWS
To install a C240 actuator on bottom-hinged windows,
proceed as follows:
Open the package (par. 3.6) and take all the parts out;
- Fig.20 – Mark the midline "Y" on the window with a

pencil. Measure the distance "X" between the two chain
terminals of the C240 and mark it on the window,
symmetrically to the midline "Y" marked previously;
- Fig. 21 – Position the bottom-hinged window brackets
on the wing, aligning the central hole with the midline and
using the measurements indicated in Fig. 19. Mark the 4
drilling points for each bracket with a pencil; next, position
the bottom-hinged window brackets on the wing, aligning
the central hole with the midline and using the
measurements indicated in Fig. 19. Mark the 3 drilling
points with a pencil;
- Fig.22 – Using a suitable drill, make 8 holes of
appropriate size to fasten the brackets for connection to
the window and 6 holes to fasten the bottom-hinged
window brackets to the wing;
- Fig.23 – Fasten the connecting brackets to the window
using the screws type M4.8x16. Now assemble the
covering placket on each bracket;
- Fig.24 – Fasten the bottom-hinged window brackets to
the wing using the screws type M4.2x25. Now assemble
the covering placket on each bracket;
If the window is installed flush or the overlap is less than 5
mm, use the 2 shims supplied; if it is greater than 5 mm
use only one shim. (Fig.21 – Ref. 1).
Before using the screws in the hardware package, make
sure they are suitable for the type of window.
- Fig. 25 – Insert the two pairs of clamps for the bottom-
hinged applications, fitting them in the actuator slider
opposite the chain terminal, then close them partially with
the screw and nut in the package.
- Fig.26 – Align the clamps with the respective chain
terminal midline and tighten the screw all the way.
- Fig. 27 – Make the electrical connections as described
in para.5.6 and with reference to the wiring diagram
shown in Fig.43 for C240/230V, or Fig.44 for C240/23V.
Use the command to let the chain run out by at least
50mm and disconnect the power cord.
- Fig.28 – First fasten the chain terminal to the bottom-
hinged window snap fastener, then fasten the clamps to
the brackets for connection to the window.
Make sure the brackets for connection to the window
are correctly fastened to their clamps.
- Fig.29 - The number of clamps necessary for assembly
will depend on the length of the actuator: up to 3 meters
only 2 clamps are needed, over 3 meters add a third at
the center of the actuator.
- Connect the power cord again.
For correct adjustment of the window closure, see the
instructions in par.5.5.
