ELGA-TB-G/-RF(-F1)
To check the toothed belt at ELGA-TB-RF-F1:
• Check the toothed belt for wear after 1000 km of operating distance and then after every 500 km of
operating distance (e.g. toothed-belt wear).
• Recommendation: Send the ELGA with signs of wear to Festo for repair.
If the customer repairs it, remove any abrasion residue from the shaft.

Repair

Note
Retensioning of the toothed belt reduces its service life considerably. In addition, the
technical data change, e.g. the feed constant.
• Make sure that the toothed belt is not retensioned.
The toothed belt is pretensioned so that it does not have to be retensioned during
its service life.
• Recommendation: Send the ELGA to Festo for repair.
As a result, the required fine tuning and tests will be taken into special consideration.
