faces on the table by wiping the table clean af-
ter every use this ensures moisture from wood
dust does not remain on bare metal surfaces.
Keep tables rust-free with regular applications
of a quality metal protection.
LUBRICATION
Since all bearings are shielded and perma-
nently lubricated, simply leave them alone un-
til they need to be replaced. Do not lubricate
them.
For other items on this machine, an occasional
application of light machine oil is all that is
necessary. Before applying lubricant, clean off
sawdust. Your goal is to achieve adequate lu-
brication. Too much lubrication will attract dirt
and sawdust. Various parts of your machine
could lose their freedom of movement as a
result.
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Daily:
• Vacuum all dust on and around the machine.
• Wipe down tables and all other unpainted
cast iron with a metal protector.
Every Month:
• V-belt tension, damage, or wear.
• Clean/vacuum dust buildup from inside cabi-
net and off of motor.
RESTORATION OF THE SURFACE OF THE GUIDE
The guide surface can be restored with an
edger or lowered to correct any deformation.
This procedure should be performed only if
no fences not aligned with one another after
careful adjustment or deformed.
To restore the surface of the guide, follow
these steps:
1. Make sure the mounting screws on the face
of the guide are far enough below the surface
of the guide so you do not come into contact
with the edger blades during operation.
Note: the new guide faces can easily be made
of hardwood and be restored to the same pro-
cedure.
2. Align both sides as straight as possible, using
a ruler or jointer table as a guide .
