INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND PRECAUTIONS: The HOIST is a person rescue device by elevation (EN 1496 class A), it can be used to descend
or lift a person provided it is used in combination with a fall arrest system in accordance with EN363. Its operating capacity is 20 m (FA 60 003 20) / 30
m (FA 60 003 30) for a maximum load of 135 kg.
The winch has a braking system, which allows to block automatically the wire rope once the crank is released. It must be used in combination with a
single TRIPOD overhead pulley (FA 60 001 00 / FA 60 002 00) as these are equipped as standard with a winch fixing plate (anchorage point no. 2 - see
TRIPOD manual) or with a TRIPOD double overhead pulley (FA 60 101 00 / FA 60 102 00).
It can be used on other structures, provided that you think to fix the adapting plate. In this case, it must be sizes appropriately and the host structure must
be able to support the load applied to the plate.
The set of elements (positioning pins, retaining pins, etc.) cannot be lost. The tools required for the installation on the TRIPOD are supplied.
This winch is also a load lifting device (compliant with the Machine Directive 2006/42 /EC), so it can be used to lower or lift loads. In this case, its
operating capacity is 20 m (FA 60 003 20) / 30 m (FA 60 003 30) for a maximum load of 250 kg. The WINCH meets the resistance tests of the EN 13157
standard: 2004 +A1: 2009.
Installation on TRIPOD references FA 60 001 00 and FA 60 002 00:
1 - Position the winch A on the plate B (Fig. 1)
2 - Set up the positioning pin C
3 - Position the screws D in the plate's holes then screw in diagonally
and block the four screws which link the fixing plate to the rescue
winch (screw M8X75)
4 - Fold the winch crank handle back E

• Installation on TRIPOD references FA 60 101 00 and FA 60 102 00 (in this case, it must be set up with the universal plate reference
FA 60 101 02):
1-
Position the ½ plate FA 60 101 01A on the TRIPOD with the two axes provided for this purpose and lock with the axis pins,
the plate must be set up on a foot equipped with a pulley at the head.
2-
Remove the pin from the ½ WINCH plate (FA 60 101 02P) and fix the WINCH on this plate with the two screws provided
(screws M12x25) and lock the 2 screws.
3-
Place the ½ WINCH plate on the ½ TRIPOD plate, first positioning the 2 notches of the WINCH plate on the axis of the
TRIPOD plate, then putting WINCH plate pin through the two plates. Lock with the BETA pin provided for this purpose.
4-
Follow the above operations from point 4 of the previous paragraph "Installation on TRIPOD references FA 60 001 00 and
FA 60 002 00".
In all cases, connections between the wire rope and the harness attachment point will have to be made through a connector (EN362).
User safety relies on the effectiveness of the equipment and full understanding of the safety instructions contained in this leaflet.
The readability of the product's markings must be checked regularly.
Before and during use, we recommend that you make the necessary arrangements for a safe rescue, should this be required.
This equipment must only be used by trained, competent and healthy individuals or under the supervision of a trained and competent individual. A
third party is required for rescue operations. Warning! Certain medical conditions may affect user safety; if in doubt, consult your doctor.
Be aware of the hazards that could reduce the performance of your equipment and, therefore, the safety of the user in the case of: exposure to extreme
temperatures (<-30°C or >+50°C); prolonged exposure to the elements (UV rays, humidity) or to chemical products; electrical constraints; the fall
protection system becoming twisted when in use; or sharp edges, friction, cuts, etc.
5 - Unroll the wire rope by turning the crank of the rescue winch
clockwise.
6 - Place the wire rope through the center hole of the tripod head F (Fig.
2)
7 - Place the wire rope on both pulleys G
8 - Set up both retention pins H
The rescue winch is ready to be used.
