DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT
The Masterbox is the first unit to use programmable
software for dispensing water and plaster. All types
of dental plaster can be used. This unit is construc-
ted robustly and includes a conveyor worm on a spe-
cial vibrator for dispensing the selected/saved
amount of plaster accurately to within a gramme.
According to experts, the water should be dispensed
from the tank in the stand before dispensing the
plaster. As 20 programmes can be saved, almost any
desired comcontaineration of plaster/water can be
selected/dispensed in the laboratory by simply pres-
sing a key. The Masterbox is equipped with a high
grade electronic control system which can save 20
dispensing programmes. Each dispensing program-
me includes the following settings:
1) Amount of plaster
The amount of plaster can be adjusted progressively
in 1 gramme steps.
2) Plaster/water ratio
The plaster/water ratio is defined in 1 ml steps per
100 g of plaster and automatically converted to the
required amount of plaster.
3) Bowl check on/off
While the bowl check is "on", nothing can be dispen-
sed until a bowl is placed on the weighing platform.
This function also checks that the bowl is large
enough for the amount of plaster selected. When the
bowl check is "off", dispensing can be commenced
right away. The standard settings include all the
amounts required to fill AmannGirrbach mixing
bowls (Smartmix vacuum mixer). To programme ot-
her permissible amounts for other bowls, refer to
"Language and bowl check".

4) Programme identification
This is where the programme name is entered. The
name may consist of up to 12 letters.
All settings are entered with the multifunctional ro-
tary knob. The Masterbox was designed to be as er-
gonomic and straightforward as possible. This can be
seen in the Masterbox controls which only consist of
the multifunctional knob and 3 keys.
INSTALLATION
After unpacking the unit, please check it immediate-
ly for possible damage incurred during transport.
Should the unit have been damaged during trans-
port, please complain to your supplier immediately.
Although this unit is supplied ready for use, always
check the voltage setting (115/230V) immediately ab-
ove the power socket. The unit can be used with a
mains voltage of 100, 115 or 230 V. Check the factory
voltage setting of your unit at the window of the
mains socket before operating the unit. If the factory
setting is not the same as the voltage in your area,
remove the fuse holder from the mains socket and
place the fuse in the holder so that the voltage you
require is visible in the window. Then reinsert the fu-
se holder properly into the mains socket and con-
nect the unit to the mains by means of the mains ca-
ble. If you are not certain which voltage is used in
your country, please ask your local supplier of elec-
trical appliances.
Caution!
Do not lift the unit by the swivel arm or scales. Risk
of damage!
Ensure the unit is installed where there is adequate
load-bearing capacity! (When using 10 kg containers
filled to maximum, the total weight of the Masterbox
is approx. 95 kg!)
