4. BATTERY INSTRUCTIONS
• We recommend to recharge the batteries after every trip.
• Interrupting the charge process by disconnecting the charger is allowed.
• We recommend to keep the charger connected to the batteries after charging.
The charger will automatically perform a short refresh charge every week to
keep the batteries fully charged.
• Batteries should be recharged every month to keep them in fully charged condition.
• Deep discharge of the batteries should be avoided because it shortens service life.
• Deeply discharged batteries should be recharged immediately in order to
avoid irreparable damage.
5. SETUP
When placing the charger it should be observed that it has sufficient ventilation all
around. A space of at least 10cm should be allowed. If there is not sufficient
ventilation or the temperature is high, the charger will lower the output current
(resulting in longer charge time).
The enclosure is made of plastic and suitable as a table model.
During normal operation the enclosure will become warm. This is normal.
6. DC CONNECTION
The charging cable is supplied with an XLR connector, whereby pin 1 of the XLR-
connector is the positive pole (+), pin 2 is the negative pole (-) and pin 3 is the drive
inhibit signal.
If the battery is connected to the charger with reversed polarity, the charger will not
start charging and both LEDs are blinking (error).
