MOUNTING A 3808MA TEST INDICATOR

The indicator attachment clamp replaces the standard scriber. This clamp provides
the means to attach dovetail equipped test indicators or electronic probes to your
height gage. The indicator is used to ensure that the downward pressure on the
part is the same as the original set zero position.

Remove the scriber, by loosening the screw on the carrier clamp. Put the scriber
aside in a safe place.

Fig.12A shows the bottom of the indicator and, points out the dovetail mount rails.

Fig.12B shows how to mount the indicator to the PT99454 indicator attachment
clamp and to the gage arm.
A. Points to the screw that is used to secure the indicator onto the attachment.
You will need a 3/32" Allen wrench to tighten this screw.
B. Shows the knob that is used to tighten the clamp that allows you to change
the angle of the indicator on the attachment.

Fig.12C shows the mounted indicator using the bottom dovetail rail. The arrows
show the approximate range of motion of the clamp.

Fig.12D shows another way to mount the indicator using the back dovetail rail.
