The data output cover can be carefully removed with just your fingers. When using a
data cable, hold the data cover out of the way and plug in the data cable as shown in
Fig.11A&B. The data cable is keyed, and can only be attached as shown. When you
are done using the data cable, make sure you replace the data cover to protect the
electronics from dust and liquids.
The height gage output port allows data transmission to devices that support Starrett
RS232 format;
• To connect the gage to a computer serial port, you will need Cable No. PT61963
(purchased separately)
• Our DataSure line of Wireless communications is fully compatible. You will need
Catalog No. 1500-1-N Gateway, 1500-3A-3N Endnode, and for longer distances a
1500-2-N Router. (purchased separately)
• Our 733 Smart Cables will connect the gage to a computer via a USB port, and
are fully compatible. You can use Catalog No.733SCU, 733SCKB, or 733SCM with
our 7612 or 7613 Data Multiplexer Gage for gathering information from more than
one tool at time.
• The Serial Output format is 4800 BAUD, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, and
ASCII data.
• 16 characters followed by a carriage return (0DH) and line feed (0AH).
• Message length (18 characters) 45 MSEC
