As regards the signal reception between the time signal
transmitter and the base station, pay attention to the fol-
lowing points:
Set up the base station as close to a window as possi-
ble.
Maintain distance from TV sets, computers, and mon-
itors. Also, base stations from cordless phones should
not be located in immediate proximity to the weather
station.
The reception is generally better at night. If the alarm
did not receive a signal during the day, it may well be
that the signal is received at night, immediately and at
full strength.
The weather, e.g. a heavy storm, can cause interfer-
ence with the reception.
Temporary shutoffs of the transmitter can sometimes
happen, e.g. because of maintenance work.
