Make sure the replacement saw blade 29
and washers 28 and 30 are clean. Place
the saw blade 29 on to the inner washer
28. Make sure the saw blade teeth and
arrow 29a on the blade point in the
same direction as the arrow 15a on the
blade guard 15.

Mount the outer washer 30 and screw
the blade stud 25 into the blade shaft 27
turning
in
(clockwise). Observe correct mounting
position of the mounting flange 28 and
clamping flange 30.

Press and hold the shaft lock button
First tighten blade stud 25 finger tight,
then with the hex wrench 5, tighten the
blade stud 25 1/8 turn (45°) in rotation
direction a (clockwise).

Pivot the depth lock lever 3 toward the
front. When doing this, the saw retracts
back to the starting position.
VARI-TORQUE CLUTCH
This clutching action is provided by the
friction of the outer washer 30 against the
blade 29 and permits the blade shaft 27 to
turn when the blade encounters excessive
resistance. When the blade stud 25 is
properly tightened (as described in step I
of "Attaching The Blade"), the blade will
slip when it encounters ex cessive
resistance, thus reducing saw's tendency
to kickback.
One setting may not be sufficient for
cutting all materials. If ex cessive blade
slippage occurs, tighten the blade stud a
fraction of a turn more (less than 1/8 turn).
