Installation of the "Gas Sentinel" gas leak detector
Fix the "Gas Sentinel" gas leak detector according to the instructions in the section "Installation of wall mounting
version GSX" and "Installation of flush version GSW".
Install the "Gas Sentinel" gas leak detector in a position where the gas tends to build up, with reference to figures
1 and 1a:
• For MET version at max 30 cm from the highest point of the ceiling
• For LPG version at max 30 cm from the floor
• Install the leak detector at a distance lying between 1 and 4 m from the gas appliances
• NEVER install the gas leak detector in the vicinity of sinks, hobs, vents or exhaust fans
Warning: the presence of gas and vapours of the following substances:
- alcool
- silicone and solvents present in some cleaning products
- cooking fumes
- spry products that use propane as propellant
can cause false alarms and, during the time, can damage the detector reliability.
Warning: the manufacturer accepts no liability in the case of tampering or adjustment which involves breaking the
warranty seal placed inside the leak detector to guard against opening of the protective box housing of the elec-
tronic circuit.
Caution: before making the electrical connections, disconnect from the 230V 50Hz ~ mains.
Connect the "Gas Sentinel" gas leak detector to the 230V 50Hz ~ power supply using relative terminals (N - L);
connect the solenoid valve to relative terminals (Nc - C - No) according to the wiring diagram given in figure 3.
Never use electrical cables with size less then 1.5 mm

, use electrical cables provided with adequate insulation.
Connect in network if required following relative instructions.
For connection in network of two or more sensors, see "Networking" section.
Select the mode of operation of the leak detector.
To select the functions of the leak detector, see "Programming" section.
After completing the installation, please fill-in the relative box in this manual and the label affixed to the leak detec-

tor with the "replace before" date (see "Registration" section).
